Wrap Dresses That Cover The Curves

Wrap dresses, you’ve come a long way baby.

Diane Von Furstenberg seemed to have invented the wrap dress when hers hit the fashion scene in the 1970’s.  Her dresses became (and still are) her signature item and recognizable by their distinctive prints.  DVF is back with a few more designs;  with some new and (depending on tastes) improved versions of the wrap dress for fall 2010. That said, whether it's the past becoming the present, or vice versa, the time is now to get into a DVF wrap dress.

Call me paranoid but I tend to shy away from this style because I am sure that I will fall victim to a fashion malfunction. There must be others like me because many of these figure flattering dresses are actually “faux” wraps.  I also tend to shy away from clingy fabrics but, because of the drapes, this style is flattering on practically all body types, so the fear is completely unwarranted. Even when a particular trend works on paper, sometimes it takes a little warming up to try it out..

I don’t know if its fashion magic but the draping tends to create curves if you need them and camouflages the ones you have. This dress style is also nice because there is no need to avoid prints, whether you go bright, solid or print this dress style will definitely flatter and show off your curves under cover.

Wrap dresses are one of the hot fashion trends for fall 2010 that is also a part of the retro salute we have been seeing in fashion for almost a year. With Diane Von Furstenburg, we are ready for the upcoming season..
